Join Efforts Together To Save The World
Our everyday efforts, even just a little, surely can make a BIG difference!
Not everything should go to the same waste. There are many are prohibits to disposal, it is encouraging to recycle instead!
We should collect them and hand to waste management companies to recycle them. Items like:
- Paper and paper bags
- Cans and Bottles
- Electronic items
- Home Appliances
For every gram of recyclables, we can help to reduce carbon emissions, gas emissions, we can help to save thousands of trees, save energy.
To go green is not very difficult, all can quickly start from home, at the same time we should show an excellent example to our kids and teach them to follow how we save the world and make the world greener.
To go green, it can be accessible to starting something natural first.
1. Stop Using Plastic As Much As We Can
For instance, we can start by stop using plastic first. We can use a recycling bag when we go wet market, shopping for fish and vegetables. At the same time, we need to reduce the use of plastic water bottles and use recycled water bottles instead.
2. Save Home Energy By Unplugging
Secondly, again start from our very own home. There are times when our appliances at home are not in use. So we should unplug it. It’s so simple. The same when our phone or computer already fully charge, we should unplug the charger and only charge again when we need to do so.
3. Save Water Every Day
Some people may have a habit of keeping the tap water running when they brushed their teeth or let the shower head running when they shampoo their hair. All this habit should be changed from now onwards. if possible, take a shorter shower to save water. Or use shower fittings, tap fittings, and toilet flushing systems that come with water-saving features.
4. More Walk
Walk to the market if it is not too far from home or walk back from the office instead of taking public transport. Walking not only can be a great exercise, better benefits for our health and body, we can also save a lot of gas if we use fewer cars or motorcycles. Another option is to use a bike. Instead, this is a great way to reduce air pollution.
5. Buy Second-Hand Furniture Instead.
If we need to shop for outdoor furniture, we can consider the purchase of a second-hand furniture shop instead. Some second-hand products can still be in good condition, and it also helps us to save more money.
6. Donate Un-Use Items To Charity Organization.
There are times we change a new phone, new clothes, new furniture, home appliances. Instead of throwing old ones into the trash. We should consider donating them instead. There are still many poor peoples around who need them. By doing so, we help others and help our environment at the same time. I think this is a brilliant idea and we should not miss it.
7. Plant Your Own Vegetables.
Save some space for your garden in your modern home and start doing urban farming. If your house has a balcony or some extra garden space, instead of planting flowers, you can begin to grow things like tomatoes, chilies, lettuces, beans, peas, and herbs. By doing our urban farming, we can also start composting our organic waste.
8. Build Habits Of Reduce, Reuse And Recycle!
If we can start to do the above seven steps to go green, once it becomes a habit, we are already contributing to our environment, we are already living a Green Lifestyle. We, start from you and me, our family members, our community, our village, our state, our country, and our world.
No water, no life. No blue, no green.
